NH Public Television Holiday Card

I was delighted to get a call from Grace at NH Public Television saying they had seen my work at the Tillotson Center for the Arts and loved it!  They asked if they could use an image for their Holiday card and of course I said yes!  The result is below.

Earthworks

It's been super!!!! busy.  Which is why I haven't posted in a while.  Completely engaged in my MFA work along with my teaching duties.  This Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 is a show at the Tillotson Center in Colebrook, NH with my friend and fellow artist, Linda Tase, a wonderful potter.  Hope you can make it!

Great opening for the Collaboration show at the WREN Gallery in Bethlehem, NH.  Super turnout and interesting work.  I had a wonderful time working with Linda Tase on these pieces.  Definitely forced me to stretch outside my own box to come up with ways to incorporate clay and painting.  I was pleased with the finished pieces and we got lots of positive feedback on them.

MFA Exploration and Experimentation

While the work is challenging, primarily because of having to make the time in a life that has very little of it that's not already engaged in work and other commitments, I'm happy to be working outside of my own box and giving myself permission to experiment.  Definitely having some fun--in a serious way, of course.  Been looking at Chihuly, Diebenkorn, Anthony Bishop, The Scottish Colorists, Gerard Richter and a handful of others. Figuring out where my work fits into the contemporary conversation.

A handful of experiments.
