Paris/Amsterdam

Recently returned from a 10 day excursion to Paris and Amsterdam with a group of close gal friends.  1st time spending an extended time in Amsterdam, which was easily my favorite.  A bohemian fairytale!  Got to see lots of wonderful art.  Was fortunate to see a Van Gogh show at the D'Orsay in Paris.  I was reminded of why he continues to be one of my favorites.  I was brought to tears not only because of the power and emotion of his work, but because of his exceedingly sad story.  Got to see the Dutch masters at the Rijk, in Amsterdam.  Great art, food, drink and companions.  Interesting exhibit by the Parisian artist JR at the Pantheon.  Lots of inspiration for new paintings. Wonderful way to begin summer vacation.

20/20 Vision at the WREN Gallery

Another outstanding group show at the WREN Gallery.  For those of you who have never attended, I highly recommend checking out a group show, or any show at WREN.  The group show opening receptions are truly special.  The air simply vibrates with creative joy and energy.  The space is packed with artists and art lovers of every ilk.  Tremendous! wrenworks.org

Conway Daily Sun

Yesterday's (Jan. 27th) edition of the Conway Daily Sun had a feature article about the WREN galleries in Bethlehem and Littleton.  My work has been highlighted with 3 great photos and inclusion in a large part of the article.  http://edition.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/launch.aspx?eid=7bf654f8-5f65-435c-b3cb-82005bc3513b&pnum=8

Musings

Some stuff I'm having fun with.  Whimsy on brown bogus paper.
